Goodyear Welted

We can resole workboots, customize, and do various minor repairs.

What types of repairs do you do?

Minor repairs and upkeep: restitching, patching, new laces, new insoles, cleaning, oiling, polishing, hardware replacement (eyelets)

Mid-range repairs: Heel counter rebuild, larger patches, replacing or fixing issues with the tongue or pull-tabs, reshaping the toe box from deformation

Commitment repairs: Resoling, midsole, heel stack, top lift, welt replacement, dying

How will I know if my shoes can be repaired?

When are they too far gone and should be replaced instead of have commitment repairs done?

Namely if your upper materials are cracked and torn, it’s likely not worth it because they’ll fall apart before you get the full use of the new sole/welt/etc…

How can I tell if I have a leather welted shoe?

What’s the difference between Goodyear welted and stitchdown construction?

Stitchdown construction is when there isn’t an additional piece of leather added, but rather, the uppers are folded out and stitched directly to the sole.

Can you customize Goodyear welted boots?

Yes! Adding cushioning layers in the form of leather or EVA midsoles, adding height with EVA layers, choosing your preferred sole, changing from lug to 2021, for example… custom collar, custom pull-tabs, etc...

How much do these repairs cost?

The prices vary depending on details. We can provide an estimate for mail-in shoes, but will be able to best determine what is required in person. This is the nature of mail-in shoes.
