Leather Birkenstocks are made with thick, high quality leather uppers that will last through multiple soles and footbeds. The first repair you'll likely need is to replace the sole. If the cork footbed is damaged you'll need a full rebuild and that includes a new cork footbed and new sole.  They will look a feel like a brand new pair.
